THIS WEEK’S NOTICES

  1. The Sunday Morning Group are following a Scottish Bible Society study / conversation during Advent starting today for 4 weeks and are inviting others to join in. The group meets in the Church Crypt at 9.30am on Sunday mornings. If you  would like to know more, please speak to Colin Wimsett, Debbie Apostolides or Matthew Guest.

 

  1. Carols in the Square – Tuesday 1st December 2015 at 6.30pm the Christmas Lights will be switched on in Battersea Square with Music; flyers at the back of the church

 

  1. Revd Adam Boulter, our former Curate from 2008 – 2012, will give our two Advent Talks on Sunday 6th & 13th December at 7pm, which will include a  focus on his ministry in Jordan, as well as reflections on Advent.

 

  1. Everyone Campaign: Please return your Pledge Card as soon as possible. Members of the Stewardship Group are sending out polite reminders about returning the cards. Even if you are unable to give to the church at this time or do not wish to alter the amount you are giving, please return the cards to save time and avoid a potentially embarrassing reminder!

 

  1. Mardi Gras Party: Ruth and Paul Holleley are looking for talented – or at least willing! – performers for St Mary’s Community Mardi Gras variety concert in church on February 6th at 7pm. Please contact us on 07969 831 947.

 

  1. Alpha Celebration Supper Saturday 5th December at 7.30pm. If you are curious about Alpha you are welcome to join us. Contact Alison ([email protected] or 020 7720 9708).

 

  1. Children’s Society Christmas cards, Advent calendars and gift wrap are on display at the back of the church. Please put your orders in the box by the display as soon as possible. Thank you for your support. Libby Bradshaw, Children’s Society rep

 

  1. Junior Church Nativity Contribution 2015 – Children are all encouraged to take part in the telling of the nativity story to nurture the seeds of growth in faith and practice. Almighty God, who called your Church to witness that in Christ you were reconciling the world to yourself: help us so to proclaim the good news of your love, that all who hear it may be reconciled to you through him who died for us and rose again and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
