He is also an Honorary Canon of Southwark Cathedral and Senior Treasurer of the Clergy Support Trust. His interests include classical music, opera and film. Aaron is married to Grace, and before ordination worked in popular music performance as a drummer, as an editor of books, as a coffee shop barista, and as a coordinator of the development of Host Cafe (at St Mary Aldermary in the City), and as its manager. When ordained he served the communities at St Gabriel's in Heaton, and St Nicholas in Gosforth, both in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He was a founder member of Heaton Citizens (a member organisation of Citizens UK), and is passionate about empowering people to become the agents of the change they want to see in their communities; he celebrates the religious, ethnic and cultural diversity of Battersea, and is always on the look out for people of good will who want to serve the common good. Aaron enjoys gardening, walks in the countryside, live music, historical fiction, and watching rugby union.
