Advance Notice: Advent Sunday 1stDecember
During the refurbishment of St Mary’s, the priest and people of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Battersea have offered us generous hospitality for our weekday eucharists and other practical help. In planning our Advent Services, we had anticipated that the building work would not have advanced as far as it has, and as a result Sacred Heart invited us to hold our Advent Carol Service on 1stDecember at 6pm at their Church.
This service, which will be a performance of Part 1 of Handel’s Messiah, with appropriate readings, will therefore be held at Sacred Heart, and will give us a chance to thank them for their generous support of us during this period.
Please do invite your friends to this special event.
The 11am Service on Sunday 1stDecember will be our next Invitation Service, a Christingle Service.
This Week’s Notices

The sessions will be on Monday 4thNovember and the following three Monday evenings at 7.30pm at 298 Trinity Road, SW18 3RG.
November is our month to consider our financial stewardship to St Mary’s for the coming year. Please be thinking about your commitment, especially if you are not yet a regular giver. Next Sunday’s services will have a Stewardship theme to get us thinking about the issues.

We usually have an Annual Memorial Service at the beginning of November, when we remember the departed from the past year.
As an experiment in 2019, we are going to replace this with a Blue Christmas Service at 6pm on Sunday 15thDecember, to which we will invite all those who have lost loved ones in the past year
