THIS WEEK’S NOTICES

  1. The Admission of Children to Holy Communion: First Communion classes begin on 20th March, and will take place in the Sunday service at 11am, alongside Junior Church. Details from Asi Munisi (07462 655 043 or [email protected])

  1. Annual Spring Clean: Please join us in helping to prepare our wonderful church for Holy Week and the year ahead. Do sign up for a job and help to dust, clean or polish at any time between 9.00am and 12.00pm on Saturday 19th March. There is a sign-up sheet at the back – all help is most welcome!

  1. Sunday Evenings in Lent: Stations of the Cross. Come and try something new for St Mary’s: Stations of the Cross is a devotional pilgrimage around the church, focusing on the events of the Passion of Christ. Each service will begin at 6.30pm and last about 45 minutes. This replaces Evening Prayer.

  1. Palm Sunday: Mozart Requiem: St Mary’s Choir, soloists and an orchestra perform Mozart’s Requiem as an introduction to Holy Week at 6.30pm on Sunday 20th March. Free with retiring collection.

  1. Good Friday Children’s Workshop & Worship: We will be holding a workshop for children aged 4 and up in the crypt. It will include painting an altar frontal for display in the Church on Easter Sunday and preparing a movement piece   for Easter Sunday under the theme ‘Forgive them Father’.  Drinks and snacks will be provided and we’ll also be making hot cross buns. The workshop begins at 10am, finishing at 12pm with worship. Register with Asi (see 1 above).

  1. Electoral Roll & Congregational List: March is the time when we update our church membership list,   known as the Electoral Roll. If you have joined St Mary’s in the past year, and consider it your spiritual home, please fill out an Electoral Roll form available at the back and place it in the labelled box. If you’re on the Roll already you don’t need to do anything unless your details            have changed. This year we are also updating our Congregational List, which we make available to those who wish to be included in this contact directory. If you are not on the current one and would like to go on the update, please   take a form from the rack above the hymn books and fill it in with information you would like us to use. NB Your E-mail address is especially useful on the     list. If your details have changed recently, or your current entry is incorrect in any way, please tell Sunny in the Parish Office.

For Your Prayers
