This Week’s Notices
Special Church Meeting: A reminder that we are inviting the whole church to come together for a special meeting to consider how we adapt to the significant changes of staffing at St Mary’s in the autumn, following the departure of Peter & Alison Wintgens and Asi Munisi. Please come this Tuesday 14th June from 7.30pm to 9.15pm so that we can take counsel together about this important matter.
“A Night at the Opera”: St Mary’s Choral Scholars and their friends in the choir will be performing a concert of operatic music in church on the evening of Friday 24th June. This will be in aid of fundraising for next year’s Choral Scholarships. Details soon.
Open Church-Sunday afternoons: We are hoping to keep the church open on Sunday afternoons during the next 4 months. We need volunteers to do this either 1pm-3pm or 3pm-5pm. Please sign at back of the church. Thank you Libby 07956 655 037
Revd. Peter & Alison Wintgens: If you would like to contribute to Peter and Alison’s leaving gift, please send your donation directly to the Parish Office (marked “Peter & Alison’s Leaving Gift”). Alternatively you can do the same via the Sunday collection.
Farewell Party: On Sunday 24th July there will be a leaving and picnic party after the 11am service in the Church and Churchyard. Details soon. Save the date!
Sound System & WiFi: Our new sound system has been installed. Free wifi will also be available in St Mary’s very soon.
St Mary’s Fair: This year’s Fair will take place on Saturday 17th September and offers of help are now being sought. Please contact Debbie Apostolides ([email protected]) to find out what you can do in this fun-filled fundraising afternoon or sign up at the back of church.
CHRISTIAN AID 2016: A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored me to join the walk on Trinity Sunday ‘Circle the City’ churches. I visited 11 beautiful churches and walked 8 miles. Altogether I raised £750 on a form, and on-line at “Just-Giving.com”; If by chance you’d like to contribute this is still open! Hatta Hodson.
