Staying Close: A Lent Course Exploring Intimacy with God, which will run on Sunday mornings, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings;
The “York Course” Receiving Christ, which will run on Thursday lunchtimes;
an ecumenical film and discussion group, based on the film The Way, which will run on four Thursday evenings at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.
Sign Up at the Back of Church. Please note the Lent Book is for personal study and reading, not for the Lent Groups, which are doing something different. Apologies for any confusion on our part.
Advance Notice: St Mary’s Choir and Soloists will be performing Fauré’s Requiem and other music in a special concert on Palm Sunday 6th April at 6.00pm. If you would be interested in singing in this concert but are not in the Choir, please speak to Tyrone Whiting ([email protected]) as soon as possible.
People’s Warden: Sue Whitley will be standing down as People’s Warden shortly after Easter. As we continue to keep to the practice of having a People’s Warden and a Vicar’s Warden, it is right that the congregation are fully involved in discerning the right person to serve in this role. If you would like to find out more about what is involved speak to the Church Wardens or to Simon; if you can think of someone to represent you in the leadership of St Mary’s, why not have a word with them?

Godly Play: Our Junior Church Leaders had a wonderful introductory evening to something called Godly Play, which they are exploring introducing as a new way of doing Junior Church. Watch out for more information soon or look at www.godlyplay.uk.
