Annual Spring Clean: Annual Spring Clean at St.Mary’s on Saturday 24th March 2018 from 9am to 12noon. Do make a note of the date – everyone is welcome.


Pilgrimage to Passchendaele: please pay your deposit as soon as possible.


Farewell to Sunny Walker-Kier- we shall say goodbye and thank you to Sunny next Sunday 18th March. If you would like to make a contribution to Sunny’s leaving gift, please send it to the Parish Office, addressed to David Britten.


There will be a Farewell Bring and Share Parish Lunch on Sunday 18th March as well, with a German/Austrian theme! Please sign up at the back to indicate what you can provide.


Palm Sunday: If you would like to take part in the Dramatic Reading of St Mark’s Passion on the morning of Sunday 25th March, please let Sue Hughes know as soon as possible ([email protected]).


Stainer’s Crucifixion: St Mary’s Choir and Soloists will be performing this popular and moving devotional work at 6pm on Sunday 25th March, conducted by Callum Anderson. Please invite your friends.


Good Friday Children’s Workshop & Worship: This year our Workshop will be at the usual time of 10am to 12.00pm on Good Friday 30th March. After the success of last year’s joint event with Sacred Heart Church, the venue will be Sacred Heart Church. More details on the forthcoming flyer and poster or from Emma ([email protected])


Advance Notice: St Mary’s Annual Church Meeting: This will be held on Sunday 29th April, immediately after the Parish Eucharist. There will be a bring and share Parish Lunch afterwards as well. Everyone is most welcome.


Electoral Roll Revision: It’s the time of year when we renew our membership list. If you have joined St Mary’s in the past year or so and consider it your spiritual home, please complete an Electoral Roll form at the back of church and place in in the letterbox at the back before you leave. If you’re already on the list but your details have changed (e.g. address), please also complete the form.


Moorings Court Case: Following a hearing on 1st March, the court case concluded with St Mary’s gaining its injunction against the remaining defendants (the owner and residents of Landrail). The owner of Landrail agreed to abide by the terms of injunction and accepted liability for damages. The court awarded costs against the owner, which will be a very significant amount. We now await news from the Department of Transport and the Port of London Authority, which will determine what will happen next.
