On Sunday 19th September, ten years to the day, Simon will be joined by the regular congregation at St Mary’s in a typical Sunday service at which he will mark 10 years as Vicar. Simon says, “I have had such a lovely time serving the people of the Parish and Congregation and have come to love the community of Battersea in all its glorious diversity. Not a Sunday goes by when I don’t meet someone new, someone who has moved into the area or is visiting, often from overseas. I love the fast-changing pace of life in all its fullness here in our neighbourhood, the various ways in which we seek to serve local people in the name of Jesus Christ, and the opportunities Battersea offers to share to share the love of God we find in Jesus Christ.”
You are welcome to join the congregation on Sunday 19th September at 11am.
