Life is full of shattering tragedies. You are affected socially, mentally, physically or psychologically. God said in Isaiah 43:2 “When you go through deep waters, I wil be with you.”
Life has changed and will continue to change for lots of people. Can you imagine surviving, but losing all of your property? In Philippians 4:13 it is written, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” Those living are haunted by nightmares and the uncertainty of days ahead.
While I was grieving for a lost relative, a friend rang to find out my own view on lots of evil coming up. My reply was simple: We have left the right things to do, God’s way, and have deviated, worshipping money totally. Money is ruling the world. People do anything to get it, not minding the consequences. She wanted me to say more, but I replied, “You just take this short answer and sleep on it.” I didn’t ring her to find out her own conclusion.
Come what may, the truth will surface one day – it may or may not take long. History is being created for the younger generation. All I pray is that whatever the situation, God will forgive us and let us go nearer to God than we are now.
Do the right thing and save life. Treat everyone equally. It’s only though God that we shall be saved. I feel certain that God is not happy with the sudden exit of his children back to him. 71 lives were lost in the tower fire. It’s very painful. My heart throbs for them. Lots of people are presently in great fear, including me. My thought was, “Where do I run to, except to God?” It will take time for me to overcome this shock. God help us all in Jesus’ name.
The television images of the burning tower are still in people’s memories. This militates against good sleep. Some are taking medication; for others, sleep is broken by nightmares. Many will live the rest of their lives remembering 14th June 2017. My prayer to God is to help us all bear this situation that is hurting so many.
God, please forgive and heal us fast.
We must remember that there is no hiding from God, who sees what we are doing, even when we are not watched by anyone else. We are ultimately accountable to God alone. We hope to do our best to sin no more.
Sometimes I ask myself, “What are we here for?” We are here not simply to amuse ourselves, nor just to be happy. There is so much in life that we do not appreciate until we are in some danger of losing it. At the same time, I do not suggest that there is any credit in being miserable – far from it! In life, the most important thing is one’s character, and the development of it.
May God help us to be the keeper of all of God’s children.
Many will live the rest of their lives remembering 14th June 2017. My prayer to God is to help us all bear this situation that is hurting so many.
May God help us all.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
