A Happy new year
Another new experience I wanted to share was the Crib service on Christmas eve. A fabulous concept where our Vicar tells the Christmas story and at different stages children who were given figures would bring them up at the appropriate time to place in the crib and by the end of the story we would have a complete crib. Minus the wise men who came later. A great interactive way for children to take in the Christmas story and think about the meaning of Christmas with a short story from me. We were blessed again with the musical talents of Aine Kennedy on the piano accompanied by my brother Danny Munisi who was visiting for Christmas and brought his drum. Of course I took pictures for you to see, just a few to give you an idea of the worship experience.
Crib service on Christmas eve
January seemed to be colder than December. I sometimes wonder what the world would be like if we hibernated like the bears in the winter season and slept through it. Our toddlers are wide awake and full of beans as they roar into action returning to our groups St Marys at Dimson lodge stay and play and our Toddler praise service on Thursdays. We are always open to more help on both the Monday St Marys toddlers at Dimson lodge or the Thursday Toddler praise in the Church, meeting and greeting, serving refreshments, setting up, clearing up. Volunteering can be very rewarding, I would encourage you to contact me if you are interested in helping out with either of the groups.
A Date for your diaries
Tuesday 4th March from 4.30 – 6.30pm we will be having a pancake party for juniors in the crypt. A chance for juniors to purge their sins in preparation for lent and enjoy some pancakes. It’s looking to be a fun evening.
That’s all for now.
Kind regards, Asi Munisi
