Life is Circle

We should never lose hope in God for what concerns us also concerns God. God will do a new thing (Isaiah 43:19) and there will be joy in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

Be Prepared in Life, Which is a Circle.

Life is a circle. It can be sweet and it can be bitter. God have mercy on us!

‘Life has become such a mystery to me’, one of my patients said years ago. ‘Why do bad, heart breaking things happen?’

A lady in a wheel chair married. Six months into their happy relationship, she was told that her husband had died while in the process of boarding a plane. The widow grieved and felt that there was no purpose in living any more. She turned to a spiritualist who told her that her spirit was broken, but her heart was strong. She became completely bed bound because of her grief. She spent a lot of money in trying to walk again, some spent on the spiritualist, but to no avail.

It turned out that the husband had not died, but had left his wife for one of the wife’s rich friends. He was living in a distant land with this woman who was allegedly a billionaire. This was a real shock. The wife experienced the dark side of life at that time.

I tell this story because we should always be prepared for darkness in life. As the seasons change we have an illustration of darkness. In winter darkness comes at 4:00 p.m. and it remains dark until about 7:00 a.m. We have chilly nights and experience cold hands and feet. Most of us prepare for winter. Although we know that it will be rough with the cold and darkness, we know that it will pass.

Life is like that. Our darkness may be loss of someone dear to us, or loss of our job. It could be from a natural disaster, such as floods or earthquakes, or from an accident at home or on the roads.

Have you, like me, lost all that you had? I went through this, having only the contents of my bag. I escaped massive bombings and had to stay in trenches to escape death. However, life continues. Even when the unexpected happens, we can be sure that God is still there. No matter how great the rain, the cold, the problem, there will be sun again, drying and warming. Bear in mind that God knows everything.

Recently, I saw on television that a girl had predicted the end of the world was near – again. I thought to myself, ‘How near this time?’ A woman I know said that she’s tired of this prophesy. She says, ‘Let it come and then let’s all call it quits!’ We Christians expect to go to a better, peaceful place to stay with our Heavenly Father. For others, the prophesy of the end of the world brings fear.

It seems to me that there is a lot of property grabbing, embezzlement and other financial crimes. I don’t know anyone who managed to take their money with them beyond the grave. I know that in the 3rd world there is great starvation and much hardship. However, I also know that God is watching. God is the God of the whole world. We should remember this and do what we can to cut starvation and remove dangers such as kidnapping, armed robbery and the sale of drugs.

Our prayer should be to Almighty God to give us strength and help us remember that things will change. Even though we feel our strength is gone, God will renew us. ‘Come quickly God and help us in the name of Jesus.’

We should never lose hope in God for what concerns us also concerns God. God will do a new thing (Isaiah 43:19) and there will be joy in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
