Just be patient and pray always. (James 5:7 and 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
I have written several articles on a monthly basis about what God has done in my life. It gives me pleasure to continue with my numerous testimonies, proclaiming what God has continued doing in my life.
My happiness is based on the fact that I hide in the bosom of my Lord Jesus, where there is complete refuge. (Psalm 71:7) The world is a battlefront, the fight continues, but I assure you there’s no doubt that victory is the Lord’s. (Isaiah 54:17)
I was brought up in a Christian home. My parents were poor, I’m proud to say, and brought us up in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. (Psalm 111:10) My father, a police sergeant, was suddenly retired, when we were still in primary school, because he refused to take a bribe. I was in standard two, four years before going to secondary school. I was the second of four siblings.
Growing up was the most challenging part of my life. I was bullied at school by both boys and girls, as I was the most feeble. No day passed without tears. Although my parents said that I had to fight back, my father brought my plight to the school headmaster and teachers saying that his children had equal rights to others at school.
It wasn’t easy and he checked on us all two to three times a week to make sure we were still alive! It was a really tough life. How I made it, other than for the Lord’s protection still remains a mystery to me.
I learnt about challenges in life very early and that is what grounded me. I became a really strong fighter. We prayed several times each day and my parents made sure we believed in the mighty power of God to fight for us. With God’s help, we took first second and third positions at school. That was when the other students stopped their molestations.
God has given my family victory in life and allowed us to reach our self actualisation in our respective professions. All glory be to our Lord, maker of heaven and earth! He has given us victory.
Enjoy this song with me.
He has given us victory
I’ll praise your name,
Jehovah, I’ll give you glory.
You made the poor to eat,
Opened the mouth of the hungry
Stretched your merciful hands.
Glory to you my Lord.
I’ll praise you forever in my life
God bless you all fellow Christians
