Farewell my summer love, farewell. I do love the summer time, especially as it is when I celebrate my birthday. I feel so blessed to have been born in the summer month of August, which I might even credit to my sunny disposition. It is time to say goodbye to summer, with the chill towards the end of August nature is clearly indicating the approach of the change in season. As summer drifts away; autumn approaches with the start of a new term.
Our Babies & Toddler’s stay and play resumes at Dimson Lodge on Monday 7th September. This runs every Monday during school term time for parents and carers to come along from 9.30am till 11.30am, have a cup of tea/coffee and a chat while the children play with the multitude of toys for them to choose from. A great way to socialise children and prepare them for nursery school.
The play kitchen seems to have been the favourite toy from last term.
At 10.30am we gather in a circle for music time. Children are invited to hold an instrument of percussion and shake along to some well known nursery rhymes with action songs too. After a good sing the children are then served a fruit snack.
We are looking for volunteers to come along and help out with greeting people on arrival, serving tea/coffee and preparing fruit for the children. Help with setting up and clearing away would also be very welcome. Please contact Asi if you would like to give some of your time on a Monday morning.
Toddler Praise will resume on Thursday 17th September in the Church at 10.30am. We welcome arrivals from 10.15am
