Failure: Believe in God

“The Lord guides people in the way they should go and protects those who please him. If they fall, they will not stay down, because the Lord will help them up.”

Psalm 37:23-24 says, “The Lord guides people in the way they should go and protects
those who please him. If they fall, they will not stay down, because the Lord will help
them up.”
Failure sounds bad to me and to many, I suppose. My prayer from youth was never to
be a failure. But, is it possible?
My father (may his soul rest in peace) used to tell us as kids, “Once or twice you may
fail, but try, try, try again.” God sees failures and he’s willing to get you up if only you’ll
try again.
Think of yourselves. How many times have you failed? As a student, at home, in your
relationships, in your marriage, in your profession: you name it. Failure can come at any
time in our lives. How did you feel I may ask? Painful, I suppose; very disappointed.
Some have sleepless nights; some recoil in their self-made cocoons; other may take to
drinking. Mr. Failure is always looking around, ready to make people miserable.
Everyone has a story to tell, and failure is often part of that story. How do you bear the
failure? Come to Jesus in prayer, ask for forgiveness, turn a new leaf and do the right
thing. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all you who are weary and
burdened, and I will give you rest.” Can you see inside yourself? How long will you
remain in this darkness of self justification?
I have failed several times in my life – professionally and in relationships. Sometimes
what appears to be a failure in work or in a relationship, may in fact be a way to fix up
your life and go in a different direction. It may be a change for good.
There are those out there who seems to delight in being character assassins. Take
everything to God in prayer to overcome them. God can change your failure to success.
Think to yourself, “This is my day for freedom, I believe that God can work with me.”
You will be surprised at what God can do! Turn to God however burdened you are.
Don’t criticise others. Try to zip your mouth. All people need prayer; tomorrow it may be
your turn.
You’re not a failure if you believe in God and have faith in God because with God all
things are possible.
God bless you all.
