I invite you to join us for some outings together over the August Bank Holiday.

Picnic in the park

After Church on Sunday 24th August at around 12.30pm we’ll meet together and walk along the river, each with our own lunch to eat together in Battersea Park, on the green around the adventure playground area. At 2pm we’ll play some games on the green, for those wishing to take part.

London’s Open Air Theatre

At 4.30pm on the same Sunday 24th August, if you’re not to tired, we’ll take the bus up to the Southbank to London’s open air theatre for the ring cycles plays ‘A tale of Gods and Monsters!’ The show begins at 6pm with a break at 19.45, when we will depart from there and head home. Those who wish to see the last 2 plays, we will meet again at St Marys on Tuesday 26th August departing at 7pm for the 8.30pm start. . Children travel free if under 11 or with an 11-15 oyster card. Adults will need either a day bus ticket or an oyster card (£4.80) with funds for the return bus journey.

Greenbelt Festival

Bank holiday Monday 25th August will be an early start departing from St Marys at 7.45am to head to Kettering for a day at the festival. The intention is to return home by 7pm. An adult train ticket will cost £24 return from Kings cross, plus bus travel on the 170 to Victoria and underground fair to Kings cross on an oyster card £8.50. An adult day festival ticket will cost £48 bringing an estimated cost of £80.50. A Child day festival ticket will cost £32 under 4’s are free. Tube travel for under 5s is free, with an oyster card will cost £1.60 return an estimated total of £33.60.
