Reverend Aaron Kennedy is On the Move

It was announced on Sunday 5th June that, subject to the usual formalities, the Bishop of Leeds has appointed Reverend Aaron Kennedy to be the next Vicar of Otley Parish Church in the Kirkstall Area of the Diocese of Leeds. Otley is a market town on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales about half way between Leeds and Skipton on the River Wharfe. The people of Yorkshire believe that God himself lives not far from here.

This means that Aaron, Grace, Gabriel and Clement will be leaving St Mary’s in the coming months, with a view to Aaron being inducted as Vicar in Otley sometime in the early autumn. Further details about this will be announced once they have been agreed, including details of the way we shall say thank you and goodbye to Aaron and his family.

Members of our church and community will have many things they will want to appreciate in the ministry Aaron has led us in during the past four years and we give thanks at St Mary’s for all Aaron and his family have brought to us in the time they have been here.
