This Week’s Notices

Please note: the deadline for notices is now 1pm on Wednesday.

Summer Worship Pattern: From Sunday 22ndJuly until Sunday 2ndSeptember inclusive, St Mary’s Choir will be taking their summer break. Our 11am Eucharist will become a little simpler and more informal during those weeks. 8.30am Services remain unaltered and the 6pm service is a ‘said’ service of Evening Prayer with hymns.

FaithWorks 18: Summer in the Square

As part of our season of outreach this autumn, Summer in the Square is a big community celebration being organized by St Mary’s on Saturday 15thSeptember from 11am to 4pm. Check out the initial details. at:

Very soon we shall be looking for volunteers to help on the day and in the lead up – we have a good planning team in place to do all the preparations. But for now, please hold the dateand be ready to join in making this event the biggest in Battersea Square for some years.

The Church Council is underwriting the costs of this event. However, members of the congregation can get involved in a financial way by personally sponsoring some of the costs of the event. There will be a chance to hear more on Sunday 15thJuly. More information from Emrys Lloyd-Roberts ([email protected]).

Intercessions: If you would be interested in leading the prayers at 11am services – it’s not as daunting as you might think – please have a word with Simon as soon as possible. Our team is a little small now! Thank you.

Junior Church: The usual summer break for our wonderful Junior Church leaders will begin on Sunday 29thJuly until they return on 9thSeptember. If you would be willing to offer a Sunday where you might be able to offer a ‘light touch’ Junior Church session with others, please sign up at the back of the church as soon as possible.
