First Sunday of November: We’re currently building on the level of participation of children and families on First Sundays. If you or your family would like to be involved next Sunday, in a variety of ways, please let Simon know today.
Public Debate: British Values – Shared or Divided? St Luke’s Battersea (Thurleigh Road) are holding a debate chaired by the BBC’s former World Affairs Correspondent, Mike Wooldrige, with a series of speakers from various religions and public bodies. Tuesday 8th November at 7.15pm. Tickets £10 (including wine): 020 8772 0463.
Remembrance Sunday/Annual Memorial Service: Both of these services are on Sunday 13th November. As usual the Remembrance Sunday service begins at 10.45am, 15 minutes earlier than usual. If you would like us to remember anyone who has died in the past year or so in our annual memorial service, please add their name to the list on the back noticeboard. The Annual Memorial Service will be at 3.00pm and will be Choral Evensong.
St Mary’s Advent Fair: Preparations are now underway for our first Advent Fair on Sunday 27th November between 2 and 5 pm. If you would like to get involved please speak to Carol Bailey ([email protected]) or Matthew and Kate Guest ([email protected]).
Cake Stall: Calling all bakers and jam makers. We are looking for home-made produce for the cake stall at the Advent Fair. If you are able to contribute cakes, mince pies, jams, chutneys etc, please email [email protected] or call 07939 068 971. We would also love some volunteers to help on the stall (2pm – 5pm).
Advent Carol Service: Our Advent Carol Service will conclude the Advent Fair
Christingle: The first rehearsal of children’s choir will begin at 10.15am on 6th November in the crypt. Christingle on 11th Dec. – Rehearsal at 3pm service at 4pm
