You can do so to the Office direct or through the Sunday collection plate

Christingle Service: This is the 50thanniversary of the Children’s Society Christingle Service and our special service for children and adults will take place next Sunday 9thDecember at 3.00pm. Everyone is very welcome. Fundraising envelopes and other items are available from Libby Bradshaw ([email protected]).

Junior Church Tea Party: as it is the 50th anniversary of the Christingle service, we thought it would be lovely to have a tea party to celebrate this milestone after the Christingle service next Sunday. There will be cakes, refreshments and even party games! All are welcome. Please email Cal Alphonse to let her know you are coming so that we can get numbers accurate for catering [email protected]

The Junior Church Nativity Play will be on Sunday 16th December at the 11am service. There are lots of parts for everyone of all ages, as well as four familiar carols to sing. Rehearsals will be Sunday 2 December (instead of the First Sunday upstairs) and then Saturday 15 December 10-12am. Please let Cal Alphonse know if you are able to be involved [email protected] or tell one of the leaders at Junior Church in the next few weeks.

The Parish Carol Service on Sunday 16 December at 6.00 pm will be followed by the traditional mince pies and mulled wine.To make this happen, we need your help, baking mince pies, brewing the mulled wine, serving the goodies or washing up – please sign up at the back of church.  No experience necessary and newcomers to St Mary’s especially welcome!

Fancy a spot of quiet meditationon your way to work? Aaron is starting an early morning weekday meditation group this week, every Wednesday at 7.30am, aimed at those commuting through the churchyard, and is keen to get a couple of people alongside to help them, ideally working people themselves. Please get in touch if you are interested ([email protected])

Common Praise& New English Hymnals: Today we begin using our new hymn book, Common Praise, bought from a bequest from the late Diana Goodwin, who was in charge of Sunday welcomers for many years. If you would like an old copy of the New English Hymnal, for personal devotional use, please help yourself to one from the back. The leftovers will be given to other churches that would like them.
