This Week’s Notices


 

Flowers this Sunday The flowers this week have been donated by Carol and Geoffrey Brindle in celebration of their wedding anniversary.

 

Pastoral Care Induction: There is a special training and induction evening in church tomorrow evening at 8pm for all those who have already come forward to offer help in our ministry of care in various ways. Feel free to come along if you would like to find out more.

 

Hallowmas Party for Children: There will be a special All Saints’ Tide/Hallowe’en party for children on Sunday 30th October between 4pm and 6pm in church. Please come dressed as super heroes and be ready to have some fun! Details: Cal Alphonse ([email protected]). Please see the poster at the back.

 

Sunday Morning Bible Study Group: During October and November the Sunday morning group are reflecting on some chosen Psalms. You are welcome to join the group for these reflections and discussions. The group meets in the church Crypt at 9.30am on Sundays (except 23/10 & 30/10). Anyone is welcome for the whole series or just one week to give it a try! Contact Colin: [email protected]

 

Everyone Campaign 2016: Our annual review of our financial stewardship begins next week. Please note that Pledge Sunday (when we are invited to return our financial giving pledges for the year ahead) will be on Sunday 20th November.

 

Remembrance Sunday/Annual Memorial Service: Both of these services are on Sunday 13th November. As usual the Remembrance Sunday service begins at 10.45am, 15 minutes earlier than usual. If you would like us to remember anyone who has died in the past year or so in our annual memorial service, please add their name to the list on the back noticeboard. The Annual Memorial Service will be at 3.00pm and will be Choral Evensong.

 

Grande Messe des Morts: The tickets for this concert are now available for collection from Sue Lucas after church. In the end the price was slightly higher (£27.20) but in a better position in the side stalls. They will also be available for collection (only with payment please) during the week in the Parish Office.

 

St Mary’s Advent Fair: Preparations are now underway for our first Advent Fair on Sunday 27th November between 2 and 5 pm. If you would like to get involved please speak to Carol Bailey ([email protected]) or Matthew and Kate Guest ([email protected]).

 

Wandsworth Food Bank: Many thanks to those who brought harvest gifts last week. Don’t forget you can donate to the food bank in the green basket at the back of church at any time.
