Everyone Campaign 2016: Next Sunday is Pledge Sunday. Please bring your completed Pledge Cards back to church on this day. They will be collected during the service. Please remember: the card is a symbol of our shared giving, so please complete and return it even if your giving is remaining the same. Thank you.


Confirmation Service: Five members of St Mary’s will be confirmed at Southwark Cathedral next Saturday 19th November at 4pm. St Mary’s is asked to provide an additional steward for this service. If you are going to support our candidates, please can you let Simon know this week if you would be able to help in this way.


St Mary’s Advent Fair: Our first Advent Fair is on Sunday 27th November between 2 and 5 pm. If you would like to get involved please speak to Carol Bailey ([email protected]) or Matthew and Kate Guest ([email protected]).

Cake Stall: Calling all bakers and jam makers.  We are looking for home-made produce for the cake stall at the Advent Fair.  If you are able to contribute cakes, mince pies, jams, chutneys etc, please email [email protected] or call 07939 068 971. We would also love some volunteers to help on the stall (2pm – 5pm). Chutney making workshop: Everyone is invited to an exciting chutney making workshop on Thursday 17th November at 4:30 in the crypt kitchen. Stephen Miles will lead the session and by the time you leave you will know everything you need to know to make chutney to sell at the Advent Fair. No need to sign up! Just turn up!

Advent Carol Service: Our Advent Carol Service will conclude the Advent Fair.


The Christingle Choir will now rehearse during Eucharist at the end of Junior Church starting next week; Contact Ruth for more information [email protected] The Christingle Service will be at 4pm on Sunday 11th December.


Children’s Society: Christmas Cards and Advent Calendars are on display at the back of the church by the lift. Please support vulnerable children by purchasing these. Order forms by the display. Libby Bradshaw, [email protected]


Junior Church Leaders’ Training: Our Junior Church Leaders are meeting on Monday 28th November for some special training in “Godly Play”, a different method of learning about the Christian Faith based on play. If you would like to come along that evening at 7.30pm, please let Simon or Cal Alphonse know.


Advent Sunday Evenings: This year, in place of Evening Prayer on Sunday 4th & Sunday 11th September, Simon will lead us in two Advent Musical Meditations, with words for reflection and recorded classical music. 6.30pm each evening.

hear our prayers and thanksgivings for all whom we remember this day;
