THIS WEEK’S NOTICES
Parish Office – Sunny Walker-Kier is on holiday this week. During this time the office will be operating on reduced basis.
Sermon Series on Healing & Wholeness: As a conclusion to our sermon series on Healing & Wholeness, our 11am service on Sunday 2nd April will include the opportunity to receive prayer with the laying-on-of-hands. This will be a natural way to end the service and to show how this ministry could be incorporated into our worship. Please do talk to Simon about this if you would like or have any concerns.
Reading Romans: Our Lent Talks continue tonight at 6.30pm after Evening Prayer. Please come along: it might help you to bring your bible and to read the relevant chapters in advance. The sessions will last no longer than an hour.
Lent 1 2 1 Conversations: Simon sets aside time for personal conversations about faith and life in Lent. If you would like to see him, please contact him directly. The first opportunities are next week. Please see the Lent Brochure for more details.
Electoral Roll: March is the time when we update our church membership list, known as the Electoral Roll. If you have joined St Mary’s in the past year, and consider it your spiritual home, please fill out an Electoral Roll form available at the back and place it in the labelled box. If you’re on the Roll already you don’t need to do anything unless your details have changed.
Good Friday Children’s Activity: We urgently need a couple of volunteers to help run the Good Friday morning Workshop for Children. Please speak to Cal Alphonse ([email protected]) if you can help. We hope to run this activity jointly with Sacred Heart Church this year, so a planning meeting will be held soon.
Refugees in Wandsworth: Following the Deanery Synod meeting on refugees last week, the Area Dean, Revd. Richard Taylor writes, “I know there was enthusiasm amongst several of us to find a way forward together concerning the welcome of refugees in Wandsworth but there may be more than spoke with me. Please let me know if you are interested and I will try and arrange a meeting in the near future when we can plan a co-ordinated follow up. (Email address: [email protected])
Fancy a small bit of gardening?: We’re looking for someone to keep the small bed in the outer car park weeded and tidy, with a bit of planting and occasional care. Please contact Roz Massouras ([email protected]) or Bob Cooles ([email protected])
