This Week’s Notices

Flowers todayare given by Sue Hughes in memory of John, on this first anniversary of his death. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Simon on holiday: please note that our Vicar will be on holiday from this Thursday until Saturday 23rdJune. Any enquiries in that time should be directed to the Parish Office or the Church Wardens.

FaithWorks 18: Ecumenical Pilgrimage Walkaround London’s sites of Christian martyrdom will now be on Saturday 30thJune (from 10am to 4pm). More details on the board at the back, including a sign-up sheet.

FaithWorks 18: Summer in the Square: Plans are very much taking shape now for this big event on September 15th. We are urgently looking for someone to coordinate publicity and PR – this is really important at this stage– and for someone to lead on drawing together activities for children. Please contact Jazz Wilson ([email protected]) or Simon as soon as possible. Thank you.

Welcome to Aaron & Grace Kennedy: Aaron and Grace are moving into 298 Trinity Road SW18 this Tuesday and Wednesday. We would like to provide them with a welcome hamper of lovely things to let them know how much we are looking forward to meeting them. Please leave things in the box at the back of church or contact Sarah Macnab ([email protected]).

Revd. Aaron Kennedy will be licensed as Associate Vicar for Community Development and Mission by the Bishop of Kingston on Sunday 1stJuly at 11am. This will also be the occasion of Simon’s Silver Jubilee of Ordination as a Priestand so it will be a double celebration. Both clergy will be inviting guests so there will be a bubbly in the Churchyard afterwards and a Bring and Share Parish Picnic Lunch. Please sign up at the back to bring some food (plus a bit extra for guests please!) and remember to bring a blanket or a garden chair! If you can assist in serving drinks or washing up please let Debbie Apostolides know.

Intercessions: We are about to say goodbye to Diana Nelson, who has been an outstanding leader of our intercessions for a number of years. Diana is retiring to Northumberland. If you would be interested in leading the prayers at 11am services – it’s not as daunting as you might think – please have a word with Simon as soon as possible. Our team is a little small now! Thank you.

Junior Church: The usual summer break for our wonderful Junior Church leaders will begin on Sunday 29thJuly until they return on 9thSeptember. If you would be willing to offer a Sunday where you might be able to offer a ‘light touch’ Junior Church session with others, please sign up at the back of the church as soon as possible.
