We love animals at St Mary’s and some of our congregation (and clergy!) bring their pets to Church regularly already.

But on Sunday 2nd October we encourage everyone to bring a pet Рor pets Рto church, on the Sunday closest to the Feast of St Francis of Assisi, who had a close affinity with the natural world. We welcome all pets Рdogs, cats, hamsters, rats (at least one member of the Church will want to do this!), budgies, homing pigeons and anything else. Our Vicar once blessed some hermit crabs on one of these occasions.

You can bring your pets to any of the services, but the 9.30am Family@Church and 11am Parish Eucharist will have a special focus on our pets and God’s love for all creation. And afterwards, if you like, you can stay with your pets and enjoy a Parish Lunch.
