Stillness and Movement

Quiet day at Ham Common

Quiet day at Ham Common

Saturday March 7th 10am – 4pm

Many of us find it difficult to fit times of prayer into daily life – especially when demands of care for others, or of work are great, or when the pattern of each day is different, lacking a regular structure.

Yet there are ways of weaving prayer in and out of daily activities so that even within the most taxing of days there are points of prayerful meeting, conversation and rest.

Through input and times of quiet reflective prayer we will explore how the Spirit meets us within the very busyness of our day. We can learn to be still and so be alive to the movement of the Spirit in our lives.

Chris Chapman is the Diocesan Spiritual Formation Adviser. He is an experienced retreat leader and spiritual director having trained at St Beuno’s Ignatian Spirituality Centre in North Wales and Heythrop College in London. He is the author of Seeing in the Dark published by Canterbury Press in 2013.

A word from Alison Wintgens:

Chris has also played a key role in SPA training over the last 15 years, including running the spirituality module. And I have spent some time with him in individual sessions. He’s gentle, wise and humble – altogether great! I thoroughly rcommend this day.

Places cost £15 – or speak to the clergy about concessions.
