This past year has been a great one for junior church and it definitely ended on a high with our Nativity!

In all our Sunday school sessions this month we rehearsed our nativity ‘Straw and Order’. Faith did a fantastic job as are director managing to make the whole process fun for the kids and stress free for the adults!

A definite highlight of the rehearsals was learning the ‘Sheep Shimmy’, I can say for certain that it will be staying in my head for many years to come. Another exciting moment was when the children picked their costumes. In fact, it was so exciting Tyron decided to join us and picked out a very fetching donkey onesie, sadly he chose not to wear it during the service.

The Nativity went really well! We had a slight scare before the service that we would not have Joseph but luckily he arrived just in time. This Nativity was particularly special as it was the last one Faith would be directing. After many years of being a key member in the Junior Church team Faith has decided to retire. We are all going to miss her greatly!

As a thank you for all the children’s hard work in the nativity we gave them Frankincense and Myrrh (sadly not gold) to help them remember the importance of worshiping Jesus.

Hopefully the next year will be a fantastic one for Junior Church full of excitement, fun and learning!
