We’ve had a great start to the summer holidays in Junior Church!
On Sunday the 16th we discussed the parable of the Sower, as we read the story we talked about when we thought we had been like the “thorny” soil and “rocky” soil. We then thought about how we could be more like the “good” soil. This was a very interesting conversation with everyone making really thoughtful contributions.
There was a choice of activities for everyone to do after our discussion; planting a seed, coloring and a word search. Each of the children did the activity which they were most drawn to. This was the first time Junior Church has tried out a new method of running our session, which is inspired by godly play. We would love to hear some feed back.
Because of the summer holidays, we are keen to run a ‘light touch’ Sunday morning group for the Children in August. We need people to volunteer to lead or help with the sessions, currently, there’re three sessions (the 6th, 13th, and 20th) that don’t have any volunteers. If you are able to help please sign up at the back of the church or email Cal at [email protected] .
We hope everyone has a fantastic summer!
